Well I'm not sure what difference my review will make since most of the other reviews have already stated this is a cheese lovers paradise. This truly is the quintessential cheese shop. They have such a beautiful choice of varied cheeses.I mean you don't have a cheese shop since 1797 and keep it going all that time unless you know what you're doing. Needless to say the staff are very knowledgeable and are extremely helpful,I was helped the last time I visited by a young lady, she was a real credit to the place, friendly, funny and definitely going the extra mile to help. They may even give you a taster if you're not sure which cheese you might like. Prices are reasonable considering the quality of the products. This is,without doubt, my favourite cheese shop and having bought from them many times I will continue to do so.
I recently had the pleasure of visiting this charming cheesemongers and was thoroughly impressed with the experience. The quality and variety on offer were exceptional, and the prices were unbeatable.
The staff were incredibly friendly and offered generous samples. I truly appreciated their dedication to customer service and their willingness to go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.
Overall, my visit to this cheesemongers was an excellent one, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for high-quality cheeses and exceptional service. Their commitment to quality and customer satisfaction is truly commendable. Thank you for an excellent experience!
10 of 10 for cheese
5 out of 10 for condiments
0 out of 10 for customer service
It's a small shop, which means the rotten customer service stings. Chap working there refused to acknowledge me until I did the really big "HELLO, I'D LIKE TO BUY SOME THINGS PLEASE", then he muttered something about being busy. I waited around, but eventually gave up. There was only one other customer looking round the shop, so it's not like the place was overwhelmed.
I buy a lot online from Paxton & Whitfield, so it was a bit unpleasant to finally get to the shop and find it so unwelcoming. Definitely won't return. It's taken the shine off buying their cheese online as well.
Am not a cheese connoisseur by any stretch, but the Brie with truffle cheese we purchased was delicious. The shop is nice and quaint, service was good and we ended up buying one of the small bags as well. Worth a visit if on Jermyn Street
Extensive range of delicious specialty cheeses, elegantly displayed. Has an old world charm, and fun to just walk around. Staff very helpful to find the cheese you need (I was looking for raclette and similar cheeses that would melt under the cooker to the right consistency). Some samples on display as well. Conveniently located just off of Piccadilly Circus.
If you are a lover of cheese, this place is a MUST on your time in London! The staff were extremely helpful and knowledgeable, and treated my seven year old with such respect - they were impressed that someone her age loves to try different cheeses! I will most definitely be back to try some more of their delicious wares. 🧀 👋😁 …
A kind business associate sent me a Christmas gift or port and stilton. The cork was so dry that it crumbled into the port.
Best Cheese Shop in the World. REALLY! Lines are very long around holidays, but you can find virtually any European cheese here. Very knowledgeable and friendly staff always have recommendations that are worth listening to in order to find something a bit different.
